National Tree Day was held on 2 August. Unfortunately, due to COVID19 restrictions Council's public events were cancelled - however, the planting at The Runway Park Woy Woy went ahead with volunteers from Council's existing Environmental Volunteer Program. It was lovely to call in this morning to see volunteers from Umina Community Group and GUST Grow Urban Shade Trees - both groups that work so hard to bring benefits to the communities on the Peninsula. Well done to all involved - including our Council staff that were there supporting.
